Out-of-the Box Giving

Aren’t creative people amazing? We have one such creative friend whose desire to give, coupled with her out-of-the-box thinking, will have long-lasting impact on the health of vulnerable children.

Many people set aside money in a Health Savings Account only to find themselves with a surplus at the end of the year. Our friend, Liz, experienced such a surplus. Full of ideas, Liz contacted us to find out how she could use her medical surplus money to benefit the children of Honduras. Here is what she has done… she purchased quantities of ibuprofen and acetaminophen, plus 2 amazing thermometers (the kind used in a doctor’s office)All of these supplies are reimbursable from the money that she and her husband set aside in their HSA.
