Elementary & Middle School Aged

When tragedy struck this extended family, 4 sisters joined together to take care of their 25 children. 18 of the children live in a one room house with 2 of the sisters. 8 older children live in another one room house with 2 of the sisters. They have little in the way of material comfort, but they have great, obvious love for one another and a tremendous faith in God. We believe you would be amazed if you could visit this home and hear these children sing praises to God. It is truly an experience.

The Alastero children listed below are AVAILABLE to be sponsored at $35 per month. This sponsorship level helps provide fruits and vegetables for this extended family of vulnerable children. The Alasteros also have a small business selling baskets made from chip bags and pine needles.

There are only a few more young adults in the Alastero family who do not have sponsors. Right now, because of the love of friends like you, this family has fruits, vegetables and a few ‘extras’ every month. Thank you!

Jose is 15 years old. He lost his parents and was taken in by the Alastero family at a young age. When the adopted mom then was killed, he, of course, was included in the Alastero Family Orphanage. Jose will be starting the 9th grade in February 2012 and attends English class in the Waits home. He is an eager student and a friendly young man who just needs to know that someone cares. Join us as we encourage Jose and his dreams for the future.
