Reach Out Honduras believes that proper nutrition is essential to meeting the physical needs of our students. Learning requires a full stomach. The crushing poverty in our region means that some of our students do not receive consisten meals at home. For this reason, the Abundant Life Feeding Program was born.
Reach Out Honduras Feeding Program Cooks
The Abundant Life Institute Feeding Program was memorialized in 2020 in loving memory of our young friend Eli Gray who passed away in 2019. Eli cared deeply for his friends at Abundant Life Institute had a big heart for the hungry.
This critical program is coordinated by these beautiful cooks who are also mothers of our students. These ladies arrive at 4:00 a.m. to prepare breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack for our students.
Each school day our cooks prepare over 800 plates of food. The food includes a nutritious vitamin-fortified rice. Some of our students only eat what is provided at school during the week.
